I enjoy doing home improvements and have been very busy during my first few years of home ownership.

I recently got an opportunity to ask a DIY question live on the DIY Show called Talk2DIY. I will put up the transcript when available.

We finished our 1000 sq.ft. basement in Y2K to add a bar, a home theater, a playroom, a bookcase and a small workshop. We did the entire electrical work, the HVAC work and the painting and finishing work ourselves.

We have built a fish pond including an outdoor electrical line for the pump, built indoor and outdoor fountains, built kids' playset in the backyard, installed satellite system and antenna, garage door openers, storm door, closet organizing systems etc.

I am especially proud of my latest venture when I diagnosed and fixed the problem with my Central AC (actually the furnace) and my CD Changer.
